A Good Reminder

This will be a short post. I have little that I can say. There is alot happening, but most of it is stuff I cant share.
Tonight I got a reminder of why we do what we do.
I was at the firepit while the pastor was giving a talk on trusting Jesus. We had a break and I turned to my neighbor and introduced myself.
She introduced herself and began to speak about how nice the camp looks, and how much has changed from last year. Then she told me about how she got saved here at an Alfa Retreat several years ago, (Remember how  the  first camp of the season was the same group (Reflections) and they brought up about 15 people who have never heard  the gospel. And today God spoke gently to her again
Susan (not her real name) has stage four cancer. She has an eight year old son. She has been having anxiety panic attacks everyday. Susan did not tell me WHAT He said, but that He spoke to her as she walked by the creek. She doesnt have anxiety panic attacks anymore.
That could not have happened except we cleared the path.
She is in the middle of chemo and she could not have come if we did not have a bathroom in the cabin.
On and on and on.

What we do makes a difference.

And then.....

Cross on the flagpole illuminated by a solar light (just donated)
This is a difficult post.
Everything that is the very reason we came - cant be photographed! They cant be photographed for more than 'legal' reasons (we cant publish any faces without written permission from each one in the picture).
How do you capture the excitement of anticipation and then the satisfaction of accomplishing what you could only do with God's help?
How do you share the sorrow of sin and the joy of salvation?
I dont know how to communicate the tears, the hugs, the changed lives.
We have seen many lives changed, selfless acts of caring, restoration of relationship with God and others.
I cant make you laugh with me at the skits, the silliness, the made up songs.
You cant smell the smoke of the campfires or hear the sweet worship that ends each evening.

But I can share a few fun things with you!
